Children’s Ministry
The Bible tells us that children are a blessing from above. They are His rewards; therefore, we are to cherish them, nurture them, and train them up in the ways of the Lord. Open Door offers various ministries for children designed to help parents bring up another godly generation who know, love, and desire to serve the Lord.
Nursery
Every child is a precious gift from God and parents of infants and toddlers can benefit from a time where they can be refreshed during this busy time of life. Our nursery is committed to earning the confidence of every parent who entrusts their children to our care. Our dedicated and loving volunteers strive to share the love of Christ by providing a safe and welcoming environment for every child. Our nursery is available at every service, and we encourage parents to utilize our nursery so that they might enjoy the fellowship with other believers and have their spirit restored as they worship the Lord.
Sunday School
Each Sunday morning begins with a specific time set aside for our children to learn and practically apply God’s Word. Classes are available for children, teens, and adults. Our dedicated teachers present the truths of God’s Word in a way appropriate for the age of each group.
Character in Action
C.I.A. is a children’s Bible program that meets every Wednesday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. from September through May. It is for ages 4 years old through 6th grade. Children memorize Scripture, learn character traits and are taught Bible truths which are practically applied to their lives. As they participate, your child can earn “Chits” that they can “spend” at the Company Store after each Mission. Your children will enjoy this high energy event each week.
